Card making club
A weekly club for keen greeting card makers who want to meet with others of similar interests, to share ideas and techniques. New members are always welcome.
Mondays 1:00 - 3:00pm during school terms. $4 per week.
Greeting card making courses

Come along and play scrabble with a friendly group. Exercise your brain and have fun.

Tuesday women’s social walking group
Enjoy a range of walks around the local area and stay afterwards to savour good company and a cuppa at Sundbye House. Wear appropriate shoes and clothing suitable for weather conditions.
Meet at Sundbye House, 100 Farrington Avenue, every Tuesday at 9:30am (summer) / 10:00am (winter). $20 subscription per year.
Come along and learn to play this easy to learn, fast moving game, which has elements of the card game rummy and mahjong.
Meet every Wednesday 10:00am-12.00pm. Gold coin donation. Morning tea included.
An informal, friendly group for knitters, crocheters and crafters - all welcome. Bring your own craftwork. This group is supported by an experienced tutor.
Wednesdays 1:00pm - 3:00pm. Gold coin donation.
500 card group
Come along and play 500 with a friendly bunch. Make friends and have fun. Beginners welcome.
Wednesdays 1:00pm - 3:00pm. $2 per session includes a light afternoon tea.
A monthly trip by van or bus (except January and December). Explorers visit places of interest around Canterbury. Ring 03 359 1741 for more information.
First Thursday of the month (except January). Come and play a very social game of housie. 1:00pm - 2:30pm. Gold coin donation.
Come and enjoy a shared lunch of yummy soup in winter and sandwiches in summer time. Everyone welcome. Great company and lots of laughs.

Book and jigsaw library
Borrow any books, jigsaw puzzles, wasjigs and board games from the library. This is free and available during our open hours. Drop in and view the selection.
Check out our wishing wardrobe! Perhaps you will find that new garment that you’ve been dreaming about? Donations of high quality, clean used garments are welcomed.
Bishopdale Menz Shed
What is a Menz Shed? A Menz Shed brings men together in one community space to share their skills, have a laugh, and work on practical tasks individually (personal projects) or as a group (for the Shed or community).
