Celebrate Bishopdale

What is Celebrate Bishopdale?
Celebrate Bishopdale! is an annual community event that was established by the Fendalton/Waimairi Community Board in 2013 after local residents wanted to see a fun, family event in the area. The aim of the event is to celebrate living in Bishopdale and to come together as a community. The event is held at Bishopdale Park on Harewood Road.

What is the date of Celebrate Bishopdale?
Celebrate Bishopdale! 2021 will take place in November. The exact date is to be confirmed.

Event organisation
Celebrate Bishopdale! is organised by the Christchurch City Council’s Fendalton/Waimairi Community Governance staff in partnership with the Bishopdale Community Trust. The event is funded by the Fendalton/Waimairi Community Board.

Event format
The event runs from 11.00am to 2.00pm.  Groups, individuals and schools perform on a main stage in 10-15 minute slots from approximately 11.15 to 2.00pm.
